Mayor's Neighborhood Transformation Initiative Brings Development into Glenville
Mayor Frank Jackson’s $65 million Neighborhood Transformation Initiative set to create healthy, equitable, and more sustainable neighborhoods through commercial and mixed-use development, single-family housing rehabilitation and construction, and entrepreneurship and workforce development.
The E. 105th Street Corridor is also being targeting for strategic public infrastructure improvement to promote more walkable neighborhoods and result in business creation and residential attraction. Just north of the VA Medical Center, a new mixed-use building was constructed earlier this year, it will house 63 apartment, a retail incubator, and a co-working space – CleWorx.
“If you're not born into it, you can only achieve wealth in a couple of ways. One is through real estate, and the other is through entrepreneurship and business development, which is what this begins to do."
Fred Collier
Cleveland Planning Director
