We are happy to announce that after overcoming many obstacles, Half Moon Bakery —an immigrant, woman-owned business, has finally opened a brick and mortar location as of January 3, 2020 at 3460 West 25th Street in the Clark-Fulton neighborhood . Throughout it all Lyz Otero and her husband Gerson Velasquez has continued to work hard and maintained a positive can-do attitude and for this reason they have had the support and financial assistance of various partners to assist their business endeavors including Hebrew Free Loan Association, Metro West Community Development Organization, Economic and Community Development Institute, the Hispanic Business Center and Councilwoman Jasmin Santana.
